| Becoming a Board of Certification MemberThose interested in serving on the Board of Certification (BOC) should first review the Board's Statement of Purpose. At present, there are vacancies in all specialty categories. Applicants for appointment as volunteer members of the CET Board of certification must submit the following materials:  | Resume or Professional Profile (maximum 2 pages) |  | A narrative statement addressing why you want to be a member of the BOC (maximum 3 pages). This should include information commenting on how your training, experience, and/or background will support the BOC purpose, as stated in the Statement of Purpose. Specific information should be included, as appropriate, addressing the items in the selection criteria, below, as appropriate. |  | A separate statement indicating the commitment of your company or personal resources for the support and time to attend two yearly meetings. |
Evaluation Criteria: Your application will be reviewed in context of:  | Education, background, and practical experience in: a. Technical area(s) b. Training delivery c. Instructional design and development d. Test and item development e. Team building and consensus development f. Ability to communicate effectively g. Reliability |  | History of group activities showing commitment to work toward goals and tasks to completion. |  | Need/vacancy on the BOC. |
Additionally, applicants may be interviewed, by telephone or personally, by one or more members of the NESHTA Nominations Committee. Appointments to the BOC are made by the NESHTA Board of Directors. Submit materials to NESHTA by fax to 602-956-6399 or by e-mail to neshta@neshta.org. |
